श्रेष्ठ पुरुषांनी जिवांना स्पष्टपणे सांगून ठेवले, तरी अज्ञानी जीव तसेच राहिले. देहबुद्धीचे खोटे कर्म टळत नाही; 'मी'पणामुळे ते जुने ठेवणे (आत्मरूप) आकळत नाही.

The great ones told souls plainly, yet the ignorant remained as they were. The false doings of body-identity do not cease; through 'I'-ness the ancient treasure (the Self) is not grasped.
