मनाचे श्लोक १३८ भ्रमे नाढळे वित्त तें गुप्त जाले

भ्रमामुळे ते धन (आत्मरूप) सापडत नाही, ते गुप्त झाले; जिवाला जन्मजात दारिद्र्य येऊन ठाकले. ज्याचा देहबुद्धीचा निश्चय टळत नाही, त्याला 'मी'पणामुळे ते जुने ठेवणे आकळत नाही.

Through delusion that treasure (the Self) is not found; it lies hidden, and the soul is struck with inborn poverty. For one whose body-identity does not yield, the ancient treasure is not grasped through 'I'-ness.
