मनाचे श्लोक १४० जयाचे तया चूकले प्राप्त नाहीं

आपले असूनही ते (आत्मरूप) चुकले, प्राप्त झाले नाही; गुणांत गुंतल्याने देहाला दुःख झाले. गुणांच्या पलीकडे वृत्ती वळत नाही; 'मी'पणामुळे ते जुने ठेवणे आकळत नाही.

Though it is one's own, the Self is missed and not attained; caught in the qualities, the body suffers. The mind does not turn beyond the qualities; through 'I'-ness the ancient treasure is not grasped.
